Allison Johnson, RN, CECP, CBCP
I became an Energy Healing Practitioner 5 years ago. At the time, I had a very good job working with people I enjoyed at a company I respected, doing a job that stimulated me mentally and supported me financially. I wasn't looking for a new income source. It found me.
Prior to my last job, I had tried other entrepreneurial ventures. Each time, my hopes and dreams fell flat and I felt like I had failed.
Yet now when I look back, I see those experiences were the building blocks I needed to get me to where I am today.
I first heard Dr. Bradley Nelson on a webinar talk about The Emotion Code in 2012. I was immediately intrigued! I'd been interested in healing modalities for awhile but none caught my attention like this one.
I signed up to begin learning what it was all about. I remember thinking that "if I can have results like Dr. Brad, I'm on board!" So, I started learning and applying what I was taught.
That spring, three very unique and remarkable events took place. I felt as if the Universe was saying, "Allison, you're being called to do this work."
Amazing things happened to those I worked on while I was going through my certification. Miraculous events took place to bring in more than enough clients to complete my certification in record time.
Once certified, I was seeing a lot of clients while I continued to work. The results my clients were getting was the mojo I needed to sustain my energy as I worked in my very demanding job doing sessions in the evenings and on weekends.
At the time, there wasn't any training available to help new practitioners set up a business so I had to figure a lot of it out myself, which was definitely not the easiest way to get things done. As my practice grew, I created processes that helped me work with my clients. But that also meant a lot of trial and error.
The most important thing I did to help me move from my day job to working in my healing practice full time was to find people doing what I wanted to do and to follow their lead.
In the fall of 2013, I became a Coaching Program student of Dr. Brad's along with about 20 others. For a year, I learned the 'in's and out's' of starting a healing practice.
The opportunity to learn from Dr. Brad and his team was incredibly helpful in boosting my confidence and in helping me understand the business of healing in a whole new way.
2014 Coaching trip to Belize with Dr. Brad
2015 Mentorship meeting, Dr. Brad and Jean with their Mentors, Peg & Allison
When the year ended, I was one of two invited to become a coaching Mentor for the next group of students seeking business training from Healers Library. It was my 'lucky' day when Dana was assigned to me. She was awesome from the very beginning.
As a Mentor, I worked with students one-on-one to help them develop a strategy for their practice and to put processes in place to make working with clients easier.
For some, I did one-on-one 3-day home visits which was a wonderful opportunity to see where people were getting stuck and needing extra support. I really enjoyed helping my students see things in a new way and incorporate the coaching we talked about. I heard so many great comments about how it had helped them that I came to realize I wanted to continue coaching.
No matter what level of experience one can obtain, I believe there are still new heights to reach. In an effort to remain committed to my own personal growth and professional development, I've purchased a lot of training and hired several coaches.
In 2015, my coach helped me recognize the time was right to leave my day job. Through his encouragement, I took the leap of faith. My current coach has helped me see new vistas and opportunities I couldn't have seen on my own. Through her, I have greater clarity on which opportunities align with my goals and dreams and how to pursue them effectively. I know I couldn't have gotten this far successfully on my own.
That's what being coached and mentored is all about. It's learning about how to get from where you are to where you want to be from someone who’s not only been where you want to go, but developed successful tools and strategies that will help you to shorten your time learning, experimenting, and feeling frustrated and alone.
Allison has a unique set of skills and life experiences that were perfect to support me in my business. Not only has Allison practiced as a Nurse and Energy Healer, she has technical and business savvy skills as well. She's energetic, resourceful, helpful and a good listener. I especially like how she gently pushed me forward in considering bigger possibilities for marketing and serving my own clients. She is a great match for Energy Healers to grow their business!"
